Your very own CHS newspaper, The Sidekick, is participating in the Dallas Morning News 21st Annual Journalism Day and Competition.
Last year, they brought home the awards for Best Website and Best Newspaper in this North Texas competition, and this year the staff hopes to collect even more awards for their hard work. There are several categories to enter, including news writing, features writing, columns and reviews, as well as several categories for photography.
The actual Journalism Day event will be held SMU on April 18, and will include seminars by Dallas Morning News staffers on topics such as sportswriting, photojournalism, graphics and page design. The awards ceremony will follow.
