NFL Power Rankings

Power Rankings through week 6

  1. New Orleans (5-0) – A giant blowout in New Orleans says a lot.
  2. Minnesota (6-0) – A near defensive collapse has me a little worried.
  3. Indianapolis (5-0) – Bye: 0-6 St. Louis awaits.
  4. Denver (6-0) – Broncos continue to find ways to win.
  5. NY Giants (5-1) – Despite being dominated, the Giants are still a very good football team.
  6. New England (4-2) – I’d say Brady’s back, and the offense looks pretty good.
  7. Atlanta (4-1) – The Falcons are hitting stride and Michael Turner is coming along in the running game.
  8. Pittsburgh (4-2) – The schedule gets real tough, real fast.
  9. Cincinnati (4-2) – Bengals’ secondary has to feel violated.
  10. Philadelphia (4-2) – I guess Raiders aren’t a bye week after all. Was Andy Reid just out coached by Tom Cable?
  11. Baltimore (3-3) – Though they were all close, after three straight losses something has to change.
  12. Chicago (3-2) – What’s funny about the Bears loss to the Falcons is that Jay Cutler was the leading rusher for the game with 34 yards.
  13. Arizona (3-2) – A much stiffer test will come this week as they travel to the Meadowlands.
  14. NY Jets (3-3) – A troubling loss coupled with injuries and young quarterback play.
  15. Green Bay (3-2) – Packers need to start protecting Aaron Rodgers better.
  16. Houston (3-3) – Impressive win over Cincinnati, we still don’t know where this team is.
  17. San Francisco (3-2) – Bye: 3-3 Houston awaits.
  18. Dallas (3-2) – Bye: 4-1 Atlanta awaits.
  19. Miami (2-3) – Bye: 5-0 New Orleans awaits.
  20. San Diego (2-3) – The Chargers are better than this.
  21. Jacksonville (3-3) – A squeak by the Rams doesn’t exactly instill confidence.
  22. Carolina (2-3) – Things are looking up for the Panthers.
  23. Seattle (2-4) – Seahawks may be the definition of a team on a roller coaster ride.
  24. Buffalo (2-4) – Maybe it’s time the Bills considered huddling.
  25. Oakland (2-4) – The fact that beating Philadelphia was so embarrassing for the Eagles makes the win almost
  26. Detroit (1-5) – Now we know why Matthew Stafford was named Lions starting quarterback.
  27. Kansas City (1-5) – The Chief’s checked off one of this season’s goals last week: get a win.
  28. Washington (2-4) – It’s not the play calling that’s the issue, it’s the players.
  29. Cleveland (1-5) – Browns are on a train to nowhere.
  30. Tennessee (0-6) – How do you spin a 59-0 loss in the snow positively?
  31. St. Louis (0-6) – Things aren’t getting better as Indy comes to town.
  32. Tampa Bay (0-6) – If the Patriots can score Tennessee by 59, how many will they put up against Tampa?
