    Cowboys trounce Panthers, Dominate Dawgs

    The Coppell Cowboys finished the first day of the annual Coppell Kick-off Classic Thursday with a 2-0 record against Plano East and Midland, holding both teams to shutout wins.

    Thursday afternoon Coppell played Plano East, easily defeating the Panthers 4-0. Following this game later in the day Coppell took on Midland taking care of the Dawgs, 3-0.

    Goals were scored by Mitchell Parnell, Steven Wheatcroft, Tanner Lines, and Will Simonds.

    After the first day of play Coppell sits at first place in the tournament, doubling the second highest point total and a three goal lead over second place.

    Coppell takes on South Grand Prairie tomorrow at 2 P.M. at Coppell.
