Could Christmas be overshadowing Thanksgiving?

Coleman Armes

Staff Writer

Earlier this morning on the way to school I was listening to the radio and these two women were discussing whether holidays like Christmas overshadow Thanksgiving and whether we celebrate Christmas too early.

This topic has seemed to spark a lot of debate. Many people either complain about or praise the fact that some stores seem to already be playing Christmas music and putting up Christmas decorations.

People also seem to be worried that others won’t take the time to be thankful for what they have but rather focus on what they want or what they will do to prepare for Christmas. On the other hand people seem to not care and enjoy the mixture of both.

“I don’t have a problem with people celebrating Christmas along with Thanksgiving. If that’s what they want to do and if they think that is right for their family than they should do that,” junior Kyle Reck said.

That is just one student though. What do you think Coppell High School?
