Top 4 tips for taking the SAT

By Coleman Armes

Staff Writer

Each year juniors stress out over the SAT. Have no fear though because I am about to give you the top 4 tips for preparing and taking this very important test.

1. Make sure you study before. This can be by taking practice tests, doing daily practice problems, taking a SAT class or anything like this. Just make sure you come into the test knowing what you are going to be dealing with.

2. Get some sleep. Sleep is very important and high school kids don not get enough of it these days. Sleep can make a world of difference and sleeping during the test would not be good at all.

3. Eat well before the test. Make sure you are not just eating candy but having healthy food that will give you long lasting energy and  much proteins.

4. Pace yourself. This test is timed so make sure you do not take too long on one problem instead of skipping it and completing 5 easy problems.
