Senioritis is beginning to set in its earliest form as CHS is approaching its second six-week grading period. With college applications underway and an easy work load on campus, senior are realizing that they have a little authority in the school and are taking advantage of that benefit.
One form of senioritis shenanigans takes place in the lunchroom with a group of boys; a game called Lunch Ball is a daily occurrence during B-lunch. Lunch Ball is played by seniors Kevin Rutledge, Payton Porter, Chase Martin, Peter Dempsey and others where they fling and hit a ping-pong ball with empty water and Gatorade bottles around their crowded table.
“It gets intense sometimes,” Martin said.
Still with 254 days left until graduation, seniors are taking this year easy and taking advantage of their easy work load at CHS. The perks of being a senior are as follows: occasional tardiness, sleeping late, leaving campus early, little to no homework (except for the students in AP classes), parking spots and last but certainly not least… seniority.
