Dress appropriately CHS

By Henna Khan

Business Manager

For the past few weeks, assistant principals have been strictly enforcing dress code regualtion during the daily announcements and loudly in the hallways. While some think they can get away with skimpy tank tops, ridiculous short shorts and noticeable cleavage, little do they know, assistant principals Sherri Hankins and Jeremy Varnell are on the hunt.

Together, Hankins and Varnell are performing surprise visits to random classes and asking all students to stand up regardless of what they are doing so they can do a quick body check of everyone’s attire. Those who choose to violate dress code on the given day are escorted to the office and asked to change.

They really weren’t kidding this time around.

While taking my last math quiz of the year, guess who showed up; Hankins and Varnell. With five minutes left in class and still three problems to finish, standing up to be inspected wasn’t exactly what I wanted to do. Although no one was sent to the office for inappropiate clothing, their intrusion in the middle of a quiz seemed rather inconsiderate.

Don’t get me wrong; I’m all for following the rules, but during a math quiz just isn’t the right time.

The moral of the story is to follow the dress code CHS, you don’t want to be escorted to the office in the middle of a test, quiz, or presentation.
