For the second consecutive season, the bye week in between the NFL Championship games and the Super Bowl will be filled the NFL Pro Bowl. While much of the league’s top talent will be on the field for this Sunday’s all-star game, one player in particular should have no trouble leading his team to victory.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, this year’s starting quarterback for the AFC, had perhaps his best season to date in 2010. He threw for 36 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions while amassing 3,900 yards through the air. All of this came with an offense that boasted a series of small receivers and a pair of rookie tight ends.
Despite these challenges, Brady became the only player in the league to be selected unanimously as the All-Pro player at his position, and he will likely receive the NFL MVP award in a few weeks. Brady was the best player on the field in every game he played in this season, and that will remain true this Sunday.
Passing to targets like Andre Johnson, Antonio Gates and Reggie Wayne, Brady should have a field day in this Pro Bowl, and he could very well be the difference in what is the 6th Pro Bowl of his storied career.
