Oscar nominations show noticeable differences to Golden Globes

Mary Whitfill

Features Editor

The long standing Hollywood status symbol will make its way into the lives of countless household names this year as Oscar Nominations were announced Tuesday morning. Noticeably different than the Golden Globes winners and nominees, the oscars noms are heavy on True Grit and lacking in Ryan Gossling’s most recent chick flick, Blue Valentine. Either way, the movies rocked the box office and our living rooms this year, most of them completely worthy of their chance at the title. (With the exception of The Kids are All Right.)
