On Dec. 6 and 7, HOSA will conduct online testing, which serves as the Area competition for the organization. Testing will be held throughout both days, and the time limit for most tests is one or one and a half hours. This essentially serves as a qualifier exam for the State and National competitions.

Health Science events (including dental spelling, dental terminology, medical spelling, medical terminology, medical math and knowledge tests), health professions events (including biotechnology, clinical nursing, dental assisting, home health aide, medical assisting, nurse assisting, physical therapy, sports medicine and veterinary assisting), emergency preparedness events (including CPR/First Aid and CERT), teamwork events and recognition tests will be administered using the online system.

In previous years, several students have advanced to the state and national competitions.
