The annual Dallas White Rock Marathon will take place this Sun., Dec. 5, beginning at a new location this year: Fair Park. The CHS HOSA Club will volunteer at Aid Station 14 and prepare to serve water and Gatorade for thousands of runners; this is another year in which the club has participated in this event.
The run begins at 8:00 a.m., but the school’s volunteers have planned to meet at the CHS field house at 6:00 a.m. in order to carpool to their station located near White Rock Lake. By noon, HOSA will begin cleaning up and return to school in the next hour.
Participants in the marathon have the option to parttake in the full marathon, half marathon, 5-person relay, and SMU Cox Corporate Relay. The length of the full course is 26.2 miles and concludes at Fair Park where a “I Rocked!” post-race party will be held.
