P.A.W.S. kicked off its first meeting on Tuesday Oct. 12, and the new members certainly had a lot to take in.
Already, the club has set out sign-up sheets for three different events for its members to volunteer for. Luckily, they have plenty of members to help out. The small classroom was packed with CHS students who were passionate about helping animals. In addition, officers were elected and the club discussed future fund raiser ideas that could include a jeans week for the teachers.
One of the volunteer opportunities available happens every Sunday at the local Petsmart, helping the workers to bring in shelter animals to be adopted. The P.A.W.S. club’s next meeting is Tuesday in B102.
