Did I just get Punk’d?

Or is MTV seriously considering letting Justin Bieber host a show similar to Ashton Kutcher’s Punk’d?

How could you possibly take a show like Punk’d and let a 16 year old kid host it? Bieber is meant to be in the recording studio (in my personal opinion even that is a leap) not behind cameras hosting his own show. Especially when his acting experience comes from guest staring on CSI and hosting SNL. Too many singers these days try to broaden their horizons and try all ranges of entertainment. From Justin Timberlake to Beyonce, singers really need to start focusing on what they are good at and stop wasting our time with mediocre movies and television shows that give them more publicity.

In my opinion some of the effect goes away when you replace an outspoken clever television star like Ashton Kutcher saying “you just got punk’d” with a child in a high pitch voice squeaking “you just got Punk’d”. If Justin Bieber ever wants to be viewed as more than a child then he should stop acting like one. By becoming the new host to a show like Punk’d, Bieber would move away from what he is known for just to gain more fame. I, for one, can easily say I have yet to catch “Bieber Fever.”
