Coppell High School’s Junior World Affairs Council (JWAC) hosts Heritage Night tonight from 6-10 p.m. in the CHS Commons.

Heritage Night represents students’ cultures and traditions from all over the world including India, China, Pakistan, Taiwan, Indonesia and Palestine. Presented with a variety of group and solo events, heritage night is a vivid display of color, food and clothing. Admission is $5.

Heritage night was scheduled to be on Dec. 3, but was rescheduled due to conflicting events like SAT testing on Dec.4.

“I look forward to seeing the results of the effort people have put in over the last few months to showcase their culture,” CHS senior JWAC president Tresa Alex said.

The performances include solos/duos by Coppell students. These are predicted to last an hour and include Indian, Chinese and Taiwan traditional dances, Chinese Yo-yo and Chinese flute. Group performances include Bollywood dances. The performances last around 5 minutes each, an hour in total.

There will also be booths for information and games for China, Taiwan, Korea, France, Philippines, Pakistan and Columbia.
