Coming from a 30point lead in its last game against Plano West, the Coppell boys basketball team hosts Flower Mound Marcus tomorrow in Coppell High School Arena tomorrow, with tipoff at 8 p.m.

“Marcus is a really good team who are in a must-win situation just like [us],” senior guard Devank Rane said. “They’re going to bring everything they got and more considering we beat them the first time.”

Getting into the groove of things is essential, and the Cowboys (17-11, 4-1 in District 6-6A) have gotten into the flow. Working with a new vigor, the team has started to focus more.

“We went into practice today with a focus on the things we didn’t do well against them the last time even though we still won,” Rane said.

The Cowboys plan to work hard and put its best effort forth in this game against Marcus (18-6, 5-2).

“If we go into tomorrow with a conscious effort of those things we need to do better against them and play how we know we are capable of playing, I’m confident we’ll come out with the win,” Rane said.
