Watch The Sidekick photographer Olivia Cooper’s video in the Takeoff Arts and Music Festival, in which Coppell Arts Center managing director Alex Hargis describes the achievement it was to put on the Coffey Anderson and Matt Castillo concerts for the festival.

The festival, which lasted from Sept. 9-12, was the first major event held at and by the Coppell Arts Center since their opening last year. Hargis emphasizes this event also marks the new center being filled to capacity for the first time. The artists performing, Matt Castillo, a country singer, and Coffey Anderson, a country singer-songwriter, are both Texans. The performances attracted couples as well as country music enthusiasts.
