According to Coppell ISD Athletic Director Kit Pehl and coach Rebecca Sawers, the Coppell girls soccer season is on hold until Feb. 5 due to a positive COVID-19 case.

District policy and federal medical law prevent Coppell from revealing specific details regarding positive tests for the virus.

Due to the quarantine period, Tuesday’s match against Plano at home was cancelled and Coppell’s next three matches: at Plano West on Friday, at Marcus on Feb. 2 and Hebron at home on Feb. 5 have also been cancelled.

All matches will be rescheduled as soon as Feb. 6, but according to Pehl, the Cowgirls will likely return to action on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Lewisville.
