Board of Trustees Election to determine future of education leadership

On May 6, the names of four men with different backgrounds, strengths and motivations will be on one ballot for Coppell ISD voters. As the district holds its Board of Trustees election, Coppell will soon cast its vote for the future of education leadership.

In Place 4, incumbent Thom Hulme and past candidate Ron Hansen are running on the same ballot. Place 5 is currently filled by Tracy Dungan who has not filed to run again, so newcomers Vara Kuppam and David Caviness will compete for the spot.

The Sidekick interviewed each of the candidates on their experience and what they bring to the table (or semi-circle).

Thom Hulme (Place 4), incumbent
Ron Hansen (Place 4)
David Caviness (Place 5)
Vara Kuppam (Place 5)
