As students made their way to Coppell High School for mid-summer school activities, they may have been surprised to see that Sonic, a long-time after school staple, had been demolished.

In May 2016, Coppell City Council approved plans for construction to  begin over CISD’s summer break bringing in a larger building, a drive-in and a drive-thru.

The renovated Sonic opened today at 6 a.m. at 201 N. Denton Tap Road.
