Chamber of Commerce Board candidate forum takes place at City Hall

At first glance, the meeting room inside city hall on Wednesday evening appeared to be that of a typical city council meeting. However with a second look, the golden name plates lining the council’s semi-circle had been covered with white paper, and eight council seats were filled with new faces.

City Hall was the venue for the fourth and last Board of Trustees candidate forum, regulated by the Coppell Chamber of Commerce.

Each candidate had two minutes to introduce themselves before taking questions from Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Jeff Varnell. The Sidekick has asked each candidate about their platform, and their answers can be found here.

Following the opening statements, Varnell armed himself with four difficult questions for the candidates to answer in two minutes each. Candidates had a 10 second warning before the end of their allotted time and were not given any questions in advance.
