Red Cross Club to sell baked goods for earthquake victims

By Loren Hughes

Staff Writer

From Jan. 25 to Jan. 29, the CHS Red Cross Club will be selling baked goods after school in order to raise money for Haiti, to go towards the aid of their earthquake victims.

The Red Cross Club will be taking the money earned to the Dallas chapter of the Red Cross, where the money will be directly sent to Haiti. In addition to selling baked goods, donations are also welcomed and encouraged.

“There are cookies, cupcakes, brownies and everything is under a dollar,” Red Cross Club sponsor Beth Dorn said. “We already earned $70 yesterday alone, so everyone should keep bringing their dollars for a good cause.”

So CHS, make sure to bring a dollar for some treats along with any other donations before Friday!
