Most students want the next few weeks to go by as fast as possible so they can get to summer. But for anime, manga and comic book fans alike, the weeks leading up to summer hold the two most awesome conventions ever to hit the Dallas area. I’m talking of course, about Comic Con and A-Kon.
First up is the Dallas Comic Con, coming up on May 21 – 22 at the Irving Convention Center. Favorite place for fans of comic books, this year it features special guest Stan Lee, former president and chairman of Marvel Comics.
A-Kon is June 10 – 12 at the Sheraton Hotel in Dallas, and while more for fans of manga and anime, it still has the same appeal to nerds (like me) who just want to have a good time. Pre-ordering for tickets for A-Kon closes in a few days, so if you haven’t gotten your ticket yet, now is the time to order!
